Abby has found her forever home. She is now living with a woman and her daughter in the Lower Mainland and will get great walks in the dog park and may even become a new jogging buddy. When I called them on Sunday to see how it was all going I got a very positive report that all was well. Good luck in your new home pretty girl!

"Rawrr rawrr wroourf" You've done it again Lisa WTG! The beautiful celebrated Miss Abby has gone HOME! Well done. Have a wonderful life Abby :-)
Here comes that familiar bittersweet feeling again, Lisa.
Question out of curiousity - "Do you work at the Playful Paws Dog Daycare?"
Thanks for the vote of encouragement. No, I don't work at Playful Paws Daycare. They are in Richmond and I think they're a great daycare!
They're very good about me bringing different dogs, they're really helpful, and they've even had 3 staff members adopt dogs. Sometimes even their other clients get interested in adopting when they see the foster dogs.
So awesome to hear, I love your blog updates, you do such a great job with the dogs. I can't wait to see who Yvette choses for the next foster dog for you.
Another successful adoption - great job Lisa.
Are you a little sad to see her go? Abby is such a pretty girl with personality and character plus!
Thanks Louise and Cynda for your comments. I always miss a dog after they leave but the joy of seeing them in a good home outweighs that ten-fold. I find the hard part is feeling like I let the dog down (from their point of view) when I let them bond with me and then leave them at their new home....I know they quickly adapt and bond to the new family but I sure feel guilty on the first day because I don't think they understand why I'm walking away. The success is in the long run with the person who keeps them forever!!
I too can't wait to see who comes next ; ) Sometimes we pick the next dog and just before the dog run that dog finds a home and the plan changes, so I try not to focus on 'which dog' until they're on the bus coming in my direction.
